This is a genuine Keihin carburetor from a 1988 Honda XR80R motorcycle. It is just as it was removed from the engine; no cleaning and no testing have been done. It is complete as far as I can tell, but let the pictures be your guide. If you can see it in the pictures, it will be included; if not, then it may not be included. This carb is sold for parts. You should be able to make it work as a functional carburetor, but I don't guarantee that. The pictures are clear and sharply focused; study them carefully before you bid. Note that in the photo, the slide shows some wear, but it is not out of round as it may appear in the photo. Note, too, that the float and the float valve operate freely and the choke slides smoothly.

Hyundai: E4U Egg Car & Fluidic Sculpture in Motion

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

Hyundai has already made it clear that 2013 will be about ‘Brand Awareness’ rather than releasing a new raft of models and chasing ever increasing sales, so two Hyundai outings in the last week can be put down to their targeted aim of profile raising. In Milan, Hyundai are taking part in the Milan Design Week by showing an innovative light sculpture that has been inspired by Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Design’ (even though Hyundai have already said that ‘Fluidic Design’ is being replaced by ‘Fluidic Precision’ as they aim to make their designs ‘cleaner) with an installation made up of 12,000 translucent spheres acting collectively on a screen, surrounded by high-power lasers and suspended over a pool of water. The ‘performance’ starts with virtual rain created by the lasers which form three-dimensional shapes, followed by an interactive segment where human interaction creates three-dimensional images by scanning for body warmth so visitors can manipulate what they see by using gestures.

Drayson electric racer breaks four speed records

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

A BRITISH electric racing car has set four new land speed records on the same day. The Drayson Racing prototype racing car, which is powered solely by electricity, set new benchmarks for speeds over one mile and one kilometre with a flying start, plus a new standing quarter-mile acceleration record. The fourth record, subject to ratification, is a British land speed record for cars of any type driven by their wheels over one mile from a flying start.

New concepts to be revealed at Pebble Beach

Tue, 16 Aug 2011

The international auto show in Frankfurt is but a few weeks away, yet for important new cars in the American market there's further proof that traditional auto shows such as Detroit are being shunned as launch venues in favor of more exclusive and pretigious events. That's because Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus, Lotus and possibly a few others are set to reveal new production and concept cars at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance later this week. Lexus is set to unveil its production GS350 (previewed by the Lf-Gh concept in New York earlier this year), the fourth generation of its luxury sports sedan, on August 18, while Cadillac's 2013 ATS will also be revealed.
