Bank holiday travellers face delays
Fri, 23 May 2014DRIVERS will face congested roads as millions move off on a bank holiday weekend promising to be a mixture of sunshine and showers. The AA and traffic information company Trafficmaster have predicted that as many as 17 million cars could take to the roads over the weekend, with numbers swelled by a series of sporting events, music festivals and air shows.
MP slams ministerial cars 'waste'

Labour MP Thomas Docherty said he had seen Government cars sitting in New Palace Yard - one of the main thoroughfares in and out of the Palace of Westminster - for more than an hour with their engines turned on. Commons Leader Andrew Lansley said he had not noticed the problem on his frequent visits in and out of the palace.

Extended range EVs (like the Chevy Volt) are probably the best option for a mainstream car at the moment, at least until you can buy hydrogen at the pumps other than in California.
