1988 Suzuki DT150 super six. 150hp V6 outboard. 2.7L
This was a well kept outboard.. had lower unit resealed with new propshaft last year. new water pump. new spark plugs. carbs cleaned. syc n link performed. always had 90-95psi compression on all 6 cylinders until head gasket went bad. 2 of the head bolts snapped due to some rust and it allowed the head gasket to crack and dropped #6 cyl to 65 psi. motor still ran after this happened but i removed the head to inspect if there was any damage besides the head gasket. there is no damage and the only thing this motor needs is the 2 bolts that snapped removed and a new head gasket and it should run good for years to come. it was on a 20ft Gambler bass boat and pushed it 58-62mph depending on load in the boat and prop. always ran strong. i have the wiring harness to go with the outboard The motor is NOT currently running. Starboard side head is currently removed from powerhead.
