I purchased this 8 horsepower 1988 Suzuki DT8C in early spring of 1989.
I had a one weekend outing with my father in the summer of 1989 and another weekend in the summer of 1990.
Unfortunately, my father passed away in the spring of 1991.
I had not only lost my best friend, I lost my only fishing buddy.
I never went fishing again since he passed.

This engine has been sitting in my garage all of that time.
I have fired it up a few times a year just to keep it in top condition.
I doubt that the engine even has 20 hours on it since I purchased it. It was only used two weekends. That's it!
The downside is, it does have some shelf wear on the cover from moving it around and about in my garage as I show in the photos.
However the pictures will speak for themselves when you look at the rest of it.
The engine still has the original factory grease on the fittings and hinges.

I noticed another party on this sight is selling the same exact engine (NON RUNNING) for parts for $500.00 claiming that it is a bargain.

I am making this awesome offer to anyone interested in a complete practically brand new running engine with the original fuel tank for just twice the price of a possible nightmare.

This engine starts with the first pull. And idles like a purring kitten.

It's a two stroke engine but it is a self oil injected engine.
This means it has its own oil reservoir and mixes it with the fuel on its own.

There is no need to pre mix oil into your gasoline. You put regular gas into to fuel tank only. What a wonderful convenience that is.

If you don't this this is a superb deal I will leave a window open for your best offers, but I will be honest with anyone considering making me an offer. I do not plan on really bending.
I lost my best fishing friend. But I haven't lost my best judgement.

If you want to see the unit running, you can visit my you tube listing.

I also have this item listed locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.

GMC Granite concept (w/ Video)

Mon, 18 Jan 2010

The biggest surprise at the 2010 NAIAS was GMC's Granite concept - a design that expands (or rather contracts) the truck/crossover brand's 'professional grade' philosophy to a compact hatchback aimed at urban hipsters and early adopters. Conceived by Frank Saucedo's Advanced Design team in California and then built at GM's Design Center in Detroit, the Granite combines the basic proportions of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB with a military/industrial feel inspired by the current G-Star and Diesel fashion lines. Watch the videos to the left to see the young international design team present the rationale behind the new concept, and read our opinion of the Granite in our 2010 Detroit Auto Show Highlights.

College Exhibition: Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan 2006

Tue, 22 Aug 2006

Students from the Car Design Masters course at Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan presented concepts for an Audi Avant for 2015 at the school's studios in late June. The presentation of the Audi-sponsored project was made to Walter de'Silva, Design Director Audi Brand Group, who was actively involved in the project along with Audi designers Gary Telaak for the exterior design and Ingo Von Bargen for the interior. In October the students were assigned the task by Walter de'Silva of giving shape to the evolution of the Audi Avant concept.

Could Michelin’s Active Wheel truly transform the car?

Tue, 27 Apr 2010

Cars today have evolved and been refined to an extraordinary degree, but carmakers – and car designers – are still always looking for ‘the next big thing'. Yet despite a myriad of recent technical innovations, ask the man on the street what is the problem with cars of today, and he'll likely reply along the lines of "they all look the same". Mass production processes, packaging requirements and safety and regulatory constraints are just a few of the reasons why it is hard to make a car that looks truly different.
