This is a 2-piece (stub shaft) lower unit model so you can at your extension shaft to make it a 20" or a 25" lower unit depending on your application (we also have the drive shaft available). It will also replace the Type C and Type D Force lower units. This is and obsolete lower unit and its extremely hard to find a low hour unit such as this one. We left the original paint job on it so you can tell that it does NOT have significant hours on it. PLEASE call to be certain the lower unit will fit your particular shaft length, model and year before bidding. And pre-bidding has already started on this massive time-capsule collection, accumulated over the course of many decades by Ray and Mildred Lambrecht, a husband and wife team who ran the dealership for more than 50 years. Autoweek will be in Pierce, Neb., to cover the sale in late September and to preserve a sample of the dust on the dealership floor for scientific study.
Aston Martin may build Maybachs for Daimler, reports say
Thu, 23 Dec 2010Aston Martin is in talks with Daimler AG over a potential partnership that would see the British luxury carmaker design and build a new Maybach ultraluxury sedan for the German automaker, Europe press reports said. Aston Martin may take engine technology from Daimler in exchange for building Daimler's Maybach cars, the Financial Times said on Wednesday, citing people close to the situation. German automotive magazine Auto Zeitung said Daimler has already commissioned a mock-up of a new Maybach limousine that would use know-how and parts from Aston Martin.
Audi debates bringing its Q3 crossover to the United States
Mon, 19 Sep 2011Audi hasn't decided whether to bring the compact Q3 crossover to the United States, but it could happen in three years after a midlife freshening, said Johan de Nysschen, president of Audi of America. "We have to look at the economic feasibility, and it has to hit targets. We have to overcome certain challenges," de Nysschen said at the Frankfurt auto show.
