VW Golf R (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

The new VW Golf R has been revealed and it’s the fastest version of the iconic hatch ever. The all-wheel drive flagship Golf now has 296bhp, up from 267bhp, with its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive sending the six-speed DSG version from 0-62mph in a feisty 4.9sec – matching the BMW M135i, but still shy of the Mercedes A45 AMG, which cracks it in 4.6sec. Why would I buy this over a Golf GTI?

Jaguar has updated the XF range for 2010 / 2011 The Jaguar XF was the real start of the Jaguar renaissance. It replaced the very able – but rather unloved – S Stype in 2008 and offered a real contemporary Jaguar, fully equipped for the 21st century and able to stand toe to toe with the best that Germany could offer. Car workers 'top for excercise'

CAR WORKERS and mechanics are the most physically active staff, taking regular exercise more than three times a week, according to a new study. Employees in leisure and tourism were ranked second. A survey of 2,000 workers by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to mark its cycling campaign, found that mechanics did some form of physical exercise more than four times a week.
