Ford FACTORY service manual for the 1989 Ford Probe.

This is the EVTM (Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual). The EVTM contains schematics for every electrical and vacuum system in the car. It also has diagrams that allow the user to locate any harness, connection, or component that appears in a schematic. Rather than physically chasing wires to find a connection or component, you can just look it up in the EVTM and it will have a picture to show you exactly where it will be found on the car. Very handy.

The contents is too large to list, but it literally covers every electrical and vacuum system on the 1989 Ford Probe.

This book is 11" by 8.5" and about 3/8 inch thick.

I'm selling several Ford/Mercury/Lincoln/Merkur factory manuals ranging from 1985 to 1995. All of them are used and show signs of use, but they came from a classroom, so they are NOT full of grease like you would find with manuals that came from a real shop.

This item will be wrapped in cardboard for shipping.  Local pickup in Ames, Iowa is also an option.

USA bidders only, please.

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

Toyota ME.WE concept

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

Toyota and leading European industrial designer Jean-Marie Massaud have developed a new electric car concept, dubbed the ME.WE. Developed at Toyota's ED2, Massaud and Toyota wanted the ME.WE – named after personal wellbeing and that of others – to be adaptable to suit a range of lifestyles while being high quality. It also had to "propose an alternative synthesis based on personal choices about vehicle architecture, lower running costs and the way the vehicle will be used".

Who holds the keys to the AutoWeek kingdom? Well, at least the keys for the test cars? That would be road test editor Natalie Neff.

Official: Aston Martin gets its hands on Mercedes AMG engines & Electronic Architecture

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Aston Martin & AMG confirm they’re getting in bed together Back in December we reported that Aston Martin had new investment from Investindustrial and wondered if that would mean – thanks to an existing relationship between Investindustrial and AMG – if we’d see Aston Martin finally getting access to AMG’s engines and platforms. By May, things had moved on and it was clear that Aston Martin and AMG were in talks for Aston Martin to get access to their engines for the next generation of AML’s cars. Now those talks have borne fruit and AMG and AML have signed a letter of intent for Aston Martin to “access significant Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Mercedes-Benz Cars’ resources, allowing the development of bespoke V8 powertrains and the use of certain components of electric/electronic (e/e) architecture.” Interestingly, there’s no talk of V12 engines – which could mean Aston Martin are going to move from the current Ford V12 for the DB9 and Vanquish to a powerful V8 from AMG – and nor is there talk of sharing platforms.
