It’s got more power, trick tyres, adjustable dampers, a titanium exhaust, and with that armoury Renault is firing a warning shot across the bows of forthcoming mega hatches like the Honda Civic Type R and Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme. Renaultsport has worked on the regular Megane 265's turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine to find an extra 10bhp, so peak power is now 271bhp (or 275PS, hence the name) delivered at 5500rpm.

All 50 copies of the 50th Anniversary Shelby Cobra Street Car sold out within 48 hours of its official introduction, Shelby American said on Monday. The car was unveiled during the Barrett-Jackson Auction on Jan. 21 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

China's BAIC interested in Fisker Atlantic model

A delegation from Beijing Automotive Group, or BAIC traveled to Fisker's facilities in California over the weekend, China Daily is reporting is reporting. BAIC has expressed interest in the Fisker Atlantic electric car, a vehicle that was at one point slated for production until Fisker ran into money problems back in March. Since that time, a number of Chinese automakers in addition to BAIC have shown interest in the technology.
