1990 Ford Mustang Gt 5.0l Project Car on 2040-parts.com
Monrovia, California, United States
It is a Stock !990 Ford Mustang GT that we have stripped down to the bare chassis to inspect fully for rust and prepare for a restoration rebuild. The Engine ran strong before and was compression checked and had 95% consistency between all cylinders.
The engine and transmission were then removed so ALL seals and gaskets could be replaced, along with the flywheel clutch, oil pump and timing chain. Upon reassembly i checked pushrod clearance and rocker lash to be within spec. This is a beautifully running 302. The T5 transmission was disassembled and all the synchros and and gears where checked and were with in spec, in good condition. Upon re-installation a new speedo wire was installed and the factory glued in transmission tunnel was removed and we welded in a new one, The heater core in the HVAC was replaced, the HVAC housing was cleaned inside and out and the vacuum lines and diaphragms were checked. We removed all the old tar-like sound dampening glue from the chassis to be replaced with dyno-mat. unfortunately this is were we ran out of time and have not been able to work on the car since. We have many new parts to go along with the car shown in the pictures including a starter, Clutch cable, radiator, complete carpet kit, and complete weather striping kit, we also salvaged many hard to find parts from junkyards like the steering column boot and the HVAC control panned. All wiring harness have been checked for insulation quality and continuity. Because of all the work that has been done to this car and were it has been left off we believe this vehicle to be of great value to anyone wanting to build a race care, resto-mod, or a stock restoration. new and old parts have been organized. Buyer is responsible for pickup. If buyer wants vehicle shipped we will work with buyer but buyer is responsible for coordinating pickup and delivery expenses and insurances. |

Mon, 03 Sep 2012It looks like Hyundai are planning to give new car buyers a free cow to save the Sunday Roast from rising fuel costs. It looks like Hyundai’s clever PR bods have found a way to boost car sales in the same way as Scrappage did, by planning to save the Sunday Roast from the inexorable rise of fuel costs. They’ve commissioned a survey to find out what motorists are having to give up as fuel costs rise, and have decided the worst thing is missing out on Sunday’s Roast Dinner.
