Renault working on 141mpg plug-in hybrid concept
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Renault is working on a 141mpg plug-in hybrid concept car to be shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, according to Renault head of research, advanced studies and materials, Remi Bastien. Speaking to at Renault’s ‘Innovations’ event last year – showcasing the French manufacturer’s new technology that will underpin its next-generation models – Bastien revealed the new car will make its debut in 2014. Bombardier YouCity design competition launched
Thu, 15 Mar 2012Bombardier is sponsoring the YouCity Innovation Competition, seeking design concepts for 'the future of urban mobility'. The online competition, open to design students and professionals, focuses on the evolution of mobility in fast-growing urban areas. With more than two thirds of the world's population expected to live in cities by 2050, the issue of transportation is one that the organizers feel needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Bombardier has selected three cities that represent the different markets for urban mobility around the world: London, UK (mature market), Belo Horizonte, Brazil (BRIC market) and Vientiane, Laos (emerging market).
Partnership Premium 2030 - The results
Mon, 06 Sep 2010Strate College in Paris, France, has released the final video of its Partnership Premium 2030 project created in collaboration with French automaker Peugeot. The culmination of a four month project, this most recent episode from Strate College covers the final designs and scenarios students presented to Peugeot's design staff at the firm's Design Center. The video features excerpts of interviews with the 10 student teams – each comprised of three students – on the French university's transport design course, who explain the rationale behind their chosen individual scenarios and the resulting concepts.
