The item offered in this auction is a used condition AM FM radio cassette player removed from a 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis four door. .Before removing any parts from this Mercury, I installed a battery and tested as many electrical components as possible. Here's what I found out about this radio:

1.) The AM side of the radio plays loudly and pulls in many stations. The FM side played, but faintly and I had trouble finding stations. I don't know if the antenna is trimmed improperly or if there is a different problem.

2.) I installed a cassette tape and the tape player plays. I also tried rewind and fast forward and both worked.

3.) There is a little window between the rows of buttons and I believe this should be a digital display. It appeared to be dark with no display seen.

This radio is sold "for parts or not working". The part number is F0AF-19B132-BA.

Thank you very much for looking at my item. Please check out my other auctions for more vintage FoMoCo  items.

I am no longer able to accept personal checks. Thank you.

Saab: GM decides Vladimir Antonov is a good guy after all

Vladimir Antonov - Not a 'Red under the Bed' after all. Some detected the odour of McCarthyism when GM told Spyker there could be no deal on Saab unless it showed major backer Vladimir Antonov the door. Which seemed a bit harsh; after all, there seemed no evidence to support accusations of links to organised crime by Vladimir or Convers Bank.

Peugeot 508 to replace 407 and 607

Tue, 24 Nov 2009

The Peugeot RC HyMotion Concept Apart from in France, it’s always been a racing certainty that the bigger the French car the poorer its sales. And it looks as if the French are finally starting to wake up to this fact and are looking at rationalising their upper-range cars to consolodate on one new model. Well, at least Peugeot are.

Electric Porsche Cayenne – the eRuf Stormster

Thu, 10 Dec 2009

The Electric Cayenne eRuf We know that Porche will produce a hybrid Cayenne when the next generation Cayenne hits the roads next year (and may even churn one out in the current shape before that). And it’s always possible that they have in mind a full electric Cayenne. After all, even though the Cayenne is a far from lightweight beast it does have enough room to store a decent bank of batteries.
