Petrol cars twice as likely to fail MOT on emissions
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The latest MOT test data shows that 26.2% of all cars tested fail on excess exhaust emissions – and surprisingly petrol cars fail more than twice as often as diesels in this part of the annual roadworthiness test. According to the official Vehicle Operator and Standard Agency (VOSA) figures, which cover all of 2010 and the first nine months of 2011, 9.7% of petrol cars failed to meet MOT emissions standards compared to just 3.9% of diesels. eBay offers free vehicle-history reports
Wed, 11 Nov 2009All vehicles built since the 1981 model year listed for sale on eBay now include vehicle history reports from Experian Automotive at no cost to vehicle buyers or sellers. Starting Wednesday, the reports are available on all vehicles sold in eBay auction and classified formats, as well as for vehicles sold by dealers or by private parties, said Nicolas Franchet, senior director of U.S. vehicles at eBay Motors.
