This won't be a surprise to anyone--it's costing more to own and drive a car. Higher prices for fuel and tires, and a larger drop in the resale value of cars, pushed the average cost of owning a sedan to $8,776 a year, according to AAA of Heathrow, Fla. That's up 3.4 percent from a year ago.

Mercedes has announced that the new 2013 GL will cost from £59,456 for the GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport to £91,680 for the GL 63 AMG. The Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport will cost from £59,465 and gets a chunk more kit than the outgoing GL. That includes Intelligent Light System, bi-xenons, LED daytime lights, AMG body styling, 21″ AMG alloys, Privacy, electric glass roof, AirMATIC, Parktronic with Park Assist, COMAND and DAB radio.

Denza - the JV brand of BYD and Daimler The joint venture between Mercedes (Daimler) and BYD in China is to market cars under the Denza brand. It seems to have taken a very long time for the partnership between Mercedes Benz’ parent company Daimler and China’s BYD to come up with product or even a name. Well, they’ve managed the name although we’re still not too sure what exactly they’ll be flogging.
