New York auto show 2012 review by Ben Oliver

Thu, 05 Apr 2012

New York is not a city in love with the automobile. The titans of Wall Street may have the money to buy Ferraris and Lamborghinis but you rarely see them on the street: if the city's appalling roads didn't break them, its appalling driving would. Toyota/Scion coupe specs reach the Internet

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

Specifications for the Toyota FT-86 and Scion FR-S coupes have leaked on the Internet via scanned images of the training manual, posted at www.ft86club.com. If the site's translations are correct, the 2,667-pound coupe will use a 2.0-liter flat-four engine that makes 197 hp at 7,000 rpm and 150 lb-ft of torque at 6,600 rpm. It looks as if the FR-S will come in two trim levels: a higher-spec variant that features a limited-slip rear differential in both manual and automatic versions of the car and a lower-spec model that has only the limited-slip diff with the manual transmission.

Audi A1 prices start at £13,145 in UK

Thu, 06 May 2010

Audi’s new A1 supermini has gone on UK sale today, priced from £13,145 for a 1.2 TFSI SE trim model to £18,280 for a range-topping 1.4 TFSI auto. That pitches the A1 slightly above the Mini, whose boggo First three-door kicks off at £12,620. But study the two rival supermini ranges from Audi and  BMW more closely and you’ll see they’re quite evenly matched.
