The project was developed with fashionable individuals within densely populated Chinese cities in mind, with its approach specifically inspired by Chinese fashion. Yanfeng Visteon, a Tier 1 supplier, describes the vehicle as a response to the question, "What are the unique cultural and design elements to define 'premium' and 'sportiness'?" Along with the Kangoo ZE, it will be one of Renault’s first electric vehicles which go on sale in 2011. It does – there’s energy-saving LED lights, cameras to replace the rear-view mirrors, solar cells on the roof, dash and parcel shelf, and 21-inch wheels.
