German courts rule Prym Mercedes 500 K Roadster belongs to heirs
Mon, 04 Jun 2012A very rare 1935 Mercedes 500 K Roadster owned by Dutch collector Frans van Haren has been declared the property of the heirs of the car’s first owners. When Frans van Haren, a Dutch car collector, bought a rare 1935 Mercedes 500 K Roadster at RM Auctions Montery sale last year he knew there was no declared history prior to 1970. Even so, he paid almost $4 million for the car.
New (2013) Lexus IS: Official Photos revealed
Wed, 09 Jan 2013Lexus has revealed the first official photos of the new Lexus IS which will debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week. What we see is a much more dynamic looking IS, borrowing visibly from the LF-CC Concept we saw at Frankfurt last year, and promising to be the best effort yet by Lexus to put a dent in the BMW 3 Series. Prominent is the new Lexus spindle grill with a set of mean looking headlights with arrow shape LED running lights, with the cabin looking further back than the current IS, a coupe-like profile and a swoopy crease running back from the sills to the tail.
Top Gear Series 19 starts 27th January 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013It looks like the new series of Top Gear – Series 19 – will start on 27th January after ticket allocations opened up for the Wednesday before. The new series of Top Gear – which will be series 19 – should have been on our screens months ago, but the summer of sport, Strictly and the X Factor hogging schedules meant BBC bosses decided to save the new Top Gear for the New Year. But it now looks like Top Gear is set to return on 27th January after Applause Store listed five new dates for Top Gear tickets, starting on Wednesday 23rd January (which should air on Sunday 27th January) running through to Wednesday 20th February (which will air on Sunday 24th).
