BMW 1 Series M Coupé hooning on the world’s highest helipad

Wed, 29 Jun 2011

BMW 1M Coupe hooning on a Helipad in LA The BMW 1 Series M Coupe may have had a rather difficult gestation – certainly in terms of its name – but it’s making its presence felt now it’s here. Earlier this month we had a video of the 1M Coupe playing ‘Hole in the Wall’ on a desert road with concrete blocks with 1m Coupe cut-outs. All CGI, but very entertaining nonetheless.

Driven: BMW 6 Series convertible

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

Every large BMW coupe – from the E9 3.0 CS, through the shark-nosed E24 6 Series, Claus Luthe's beautiful E31 8 Series, right up to the outgoing, Bangle-era E63 6er – has had an exoticism beyond every other car in the brand's range. We drove the latest from the most southern point of Europe back to our London office to find out if it too is a truly Grand Tourer. Stepping off the 'plane in Gibraltar, greeted by a Deep Sea Blue 650i with Ivory White leather, 19-inch rims and Shadow Line exterior trim under the early summer Mediterranean sun, it's clear that the right colorway and a more appropriate setting certainly help the F12's cause after our disappointment with the car at its debut in Detroit earlier in the year.

Hyundai iX35 (2010) and Santa Fe (2010) 4x4s scooped

Thu, 16 Jul 2009

By Richard Webber First Official Pictures 16 July 2009 15:50 We’ve scooped a brace of spy shots showing the next generation of Hyundai 4x4s – a facelifted Santa Fe and the iX35, the all-new successor to the Tucson. Both will use Hyundai’s high performance ‘R’ turbodiesel engines and the choice of a manual or new automatic six-speed ‘box. It’s largely derived from the iX-onic concept shown at Geneva in March 2009, including the snake-eye side glass profile (which has been obscured at the rear on this mule) and at least some of the muscle on the wings.
