Top Gear Christmas Special: Video trailer
Thu, 09 Dec 2010Top Gear Christmas Special - Iraq to Bethlehem The first clue we had about what the Top Gear Christmas Special would be this year was back in October when we caught the boys out playing in the Middle East with a trio of rather battered roadsters. It seemed like the makings of another road-trip special with the madness of the Middle East as a backdrop for the madness of Top Gear. Concept Car of the Week: Nissan NX-21 (1983)
Fri, 01 Aug 2014In the early 1980s, with the new millennium still seemingly an age away, Nissan Design America was tasked with imagining the family car of the future, while giving potential buyers a preview of the forthcoming N13 NX and EXA models. The resulting concept would be shown at the Tokyo motor show in 1983. Given confidence by the increasing success and expanding global presence of Japanese cars, including the previous generation N12 NX, Nissan's designers, led by Tom Semple, decided that the NX-21 (for 21st century) was the answer.
Audi A1: American buyers not ready says U.S. chief De Nysschen
Tue, 03 Feb 2009Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen says the United States and its small-equals-cheap mentality isn't ready for premium subcompacts such as the Audi A1, which goes on sale in Europe later this year. In an interview with Automotive News on Monday, de Nysschen said Audi is "seriously looking" at bringing the A1 to the United States in the car's next generation six to eight years from now. Bringing it here earlier could damage Audi's efforts to build widespread recognition for the brand, he said.
