Datsun GO+ MPV revealed in Jakarta

Datsun has returned, but not the way we last remember it. Nissan has brought back the Datsun brand for developing markets, and has just revealed the GO+ model, a compact MPV based on the Datsun GO hatchback. The premiere took place in Jakarta, Indonesia, which will be the first market where the GO+ will be offered.

Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans

Porsche is returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next weekend, and reigning champ Audi figured it would be nice to send a little welcoming committee to Stuttgart, Germany. The committee consisted of one driver in an R18 e-tron quattro LMP1 car. Keen eyes will notice the race car passing a red tractor, also a Porsche design.

That first year of sales in 1958 saw 287 Toyopet Crowns and one Land Cruiser sold -- more as curiosities than as practical transportation, we'd wager. -- At any rate, Toyota's move from California to Texas is moving from "one of the most eco-friendly states in the union," according to Ward's Auto, "to the U.S.’s equivalent of China." -- Ten years ago today, the last Oldsmobile rolled off the line at Lansing Car Assembly.
