Jaguar Land Rover aiming to double sales
Sat, 22 Jun 2013Jaguar Land Rover plan to double sales We’ve got so used to reporting ever increasing sales for Jaguar and Land Rover that it comes as no big surprise that JLR are planning to double car sales by 2020. A few years ago such a figure would have been risible, but since Tata took the helm from Ford in 2008 the focus at JLR on creating a world beating brand and product has been unshakable. Tata got off to a good start with the Jaguar XF replacing the S-Type, and the new Jaguar XJ showing just how good a big luxury car can be to drive.
New Volvo Concept at Geneva Motor Show. But what is it?
Wed, 12 Feb 2014The Volvo XC Coupe Concept (left) and Coupe Concept will be joined by a third concept at Geneva Now Volvo has its new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), and its new Drive-E engine range, heading for production they’ve been planning three new concepts to show off the possibilities the new architecture and engines promise. The first of those was the very appealing Volvo Concept Coupe which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year as a 21st century take on the classic Volvo P1800. With stunning looks, a new nose evolved from the earlier Concept You, floating grill and slim headlights, the Concept Coupe also came with a 4WD drivetrain powered by a 2.0 litre petrol and an electric motor for an output of 395bhp.
Mitsubishi's world debut at Paris
Mon, 15 Sep 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 15 September 2008 09:37 Mitsubishi today released this mysterious teaser photo of a new car – thought to be the new Colt – that will make its world debut at next month's 2008 Paris motor show. It's hard to see much from the shadowy pixels that have been issued: it looks like a generic, modern Mitsu with the Lancer's deep grille and wedgy headlamps. CAR expects Mitsubishi to show a heavily revised Colt at the Paris show on 2 October 2008.
