A NOTE ON INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

THE US POSTAL SERVICE HAS TERMINATED CERTAIN SHIPPING SERVICES TO CERTAIN COUNTRIES.

THIS WILL MOSTLY AFFECT INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS PARCEL AND INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL.

THE SERVICE AND SHIPPING COST SHOWN FOR YOUR COUNTRY MAY BE ONE OF THOSE NOT AVAILABLE.

ALSO, THE US POSTAL SERVICE HAS SUB CONTRACTED OUT THEIR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TO E-DELCON SERVICES, WHICH HAS RESULTED IN A HUGE INCREASE IN INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RATES.

THE SHIPPING SERVICE AND PRICE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT PRICE OR SERVICE FOR YOUR COUNTRY.

YOU SHOULD CONTACT ME FOR ACTUAL SHIPPING COST AND METHOD BEFORE YOU BUY.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: CUSTOMS FEES FOR CROSS BORDER SHIPMENTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.

PLEASE CHECK WHAT (IF ANY) CUSTOMS FEES YOU MAY BE OBLIGATED TO PAY WHEN YOUR ITEM IS DELIVERED IN YOUR COUNTRY.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING NOTE:

ALTHOUGH MEDIA MAIL IS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE WAY TO SHIP BOOKS, IT IS ALSO THE SLOWEST METHOD OF DELIVERY BY THE US POSTAL SERVICE.

THE USPS STATED DELIVERY TIMES FOR USPS MEDIA MAIL ARE 2 TO 9 BUSINESS DAYS.

MOST ITEMS ARE DELIVERED WITHIN THIS TIME, BUT THERE ARE OCCASIONS THAT THE USPS TAKES 8 OR MORE DAYS JUST TO GET THE MEDIA MAIL ITEM FROM PENNSYLVANIA TO THEIR NEW JERSEY SORT FACILITY.

IF YOU CHOOSE MEDIA MAIL, PLEASE HAVE THE PATIENCE TO WAIT FOR YOUR ITEM TO BE DELIVERED.

ALTHOUGH I ALMOST ALWAYS GET YOUR ITEM OUT THE DOOR AND INTO THE USPS HANDS WITHIN ONE BUSINESS DAY OF THE SALE, IT IS THEN BEYOND MY CONTROL ON WHEN YOUR ITEM IS ACTUALLY DELIVERED.

IF YOU NEED YOUR ITEM AT YOUR DOOR QUICKLY, PLEASE CONSIDER PRIORITY MAIL, WHICH IS ALMOST ALWAYS FASTER DELIVERY.

WHEN YOU LEAVE FEEDBACK, PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE MY SHIPPING PERFORMANCE BY THE SOMETIMES PATHETIC USPS PERFORMANCE ON MEDIA MAIL DELIVERY TIMES.

THANK YOU.

Official: New Alfa Romeo Spider based on new Mazda MX-5

Sun, 20 Jan 2013

Following a MOU in May 2012, Alfa Romeo has confirmed they will be launching a new Alfa Spider in 2015 based on the next Mazda MX-5 Back in May 2012, Fiat and Mazda signed a memorandum of understanding to produce a new Alfa Romeo Spider built on the same platform as the next generation Mazda MX-5, and that has now turned in to a solid agreement with the new Alfa Spider arriving in 2015. But this won’t be a simple badge-engineering by Fiat to roll out a new Alfa Spider that’s just the same as the next MX-5 but with a different badge and grill, but will feature different styling and engines to make sure there is real differentiation between the roadsters. That means the new Alfa Spider getting Italian styling (which we hope has more than a passing nod to theĀ originalĀ Alfa Spider) an, it’s expected, Alfa’s 1750cc engine we’ll see in the new Alfa 4C when that arrives.

Lexus gets new focus

Battered by recalls and public inquisitions, Toyota is hoping to restore its once-pristine image with new hybrid products and a renewed focus on Lexus. Lexus increasingly will be positioned as a “global premium brand,” the company said on Wednesday, and see improved styling, more hybrids and better service. The brand's sales have fallen 9 percent this year, to 26,674 in the United States.

Porsche 918 Spyder crashes in Germany

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Porsche is in hot water with German authorities following an accident involving a prototype version of the gasoline-electric hybrid-powered 918 Spyder on a public road last month, according to reports in the German media. The accident, which took place between the towns of Bietigheim-Bissingen and Ludwigsburg (close to Porsche's research-and-development center), saw the 875-hp 918 Spyder spin out of control and collide with a guard rail. Parts of the new $845,000 Porsche flagship are said to have broken loose in the collision before being collected by an oncoming car.
