Newly rebuilt 1993 RX7 3rd Gen, turbo transmission that inspection noted
to be in excellent condition. See attached pictures. Transmission was
rebuilt with all new NACHI and NTN bearings including synchro rings.
The 1st-2nd fork, 3rd-4th and the 5th-reverse forks were within the new
factory tolerance of 0.006-0.012" clearance and not replaced. All shaft
snap rings, roll pins, shift rail springs and clips are new including
the main and counter shaft lock nuts. As recommended by Racing Beat, all
of the synchros were hand lapped to their respective shift cones to
improve shifting. Also included is a new nylon lower ball shift bushing.
The input pilot shaft nose and internal main shaft bearing surface are
in pristine condition.

Wayne Cherry receives Lifetime Achievement Award at EyesOn Design 2013
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Renowned car designer Wayne Cherry was honored with a Lifetime Design Achievement Award at the EyesOn Automotive Design Exhibition at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, Michigan. The former GM vice president of design was chosen by a panel of his fellow designers for the honor after a 42-year career with the carmaker, during which he was involved in the design of over 80 concepts and more than 90 production vehicles. Only vehicle designers who have previously won the award are allowed to vote, with this year's panel including Chris Bangle, Walter de'Silva, Tom Gale, Giorgetto Giugiaro, Chuck Jordan, Robert Lutz, Shiro Nakamura, Chuck Pelly, Sergio Pininfarina and Jack Telnack.
