Mazda mourns Neil Warrior
Thu, 04 Jun 2009Mazda's Director of Public Relations - Neil Warrior - sadly lost in the Air France tragedy When a plane goes down it understandably makes headlines as the loss is so big in one fell swoop. CAR interviews Mazda design chief Ikuo Maeda (2010)
Thu, 02 Sep 2010By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 02 September 2010 13:30 CAR has been out to Italy to see the world premier of the new Mazda Shinari concept car. Maeda is the first Japanese design boss for a generation – it seems that Mazda has looked within after a series of European creative brains who each stayed for five years or less, arguably not long enough to see through any substantial aesthetic change.
Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo (2011) launches
Fri, 09 Jul 2010The Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo 2011 debuted at Goodwood If you went down to the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend you may well have come across Alpina’s latest offering – the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo – which, following the news yesterday that BMW have retired the current generation (E60) M5 and that you’ll have to wait intil next year for the new M5 – is the only way to hop in to a brand new ‘Hot’ 5 series for at least the next 9 months. Not only is the Alpina B5 the only really quick 5 series on the market now, it will also be a lot less ubiquitous in the long run than BMW’s own M5. A lot to be said for that.
