80 mph speed limit: Idaho and Wyoming poised to be next

Idaho and Wyoming could soon see 80 mph speed limits introduced to a number of highways, joining Texas and Utah as the states with some of the fastest permitted passenger car-driving speeds, KMVT-TV in Idaho is reporting. A bill in Idaho would see some sections of interstates go from 75 mph to 80 mph, and other selected highways go from 65 mph to 70 mph, which are probably speeds that drivers are doing anyway in remote and not-so-remote parts of both states. But the Idaho Transportation Department did not lend its support to the bill even though it is given the authority to implement it.

Having pored over the first pictures of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport and consumed the accompanying official literature, we’re left wondering why it shares so much of its design treatment with the Range Rover Evoque, while simultaneously removing the last vestiges of utility from the Discovery nameplate. The 10 Formula E cars arrive at Donnington No one knows if the Formula E experiment – an ‘F1′ Grand Prix series for electric racing cars – will garner the same sort of interest as its ICE counterpart, but with the first Formula E race scheduled for Beijing in September we’ll soon find out. After a series of tests at a variety of circuits earlier this year, the Spark Renault SRT_01E passed all its final systems and architecture tests, which has allowed this first batch of the final series cars to be delivered for the teams to practice ahead of the race.
