Jaguar F-Type: The Expert opinion (video)
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Jaguar gave Martin Brundle, Christian Danner and Justin Bell the new F-Type to play with at Snetterton. Their glowing praise augers well for the F-Type’s sales. A spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type, the F-Type is the first real sports car Jaguar has produced for forty years, and they intend the F-Type as the beacon to hang the Jaguar brand on (if that’s not a mixed metaphor).
MG TF – finally built at Longbridge. Plus mystery MG
Mon, 02 Jun 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 June 2008 12:18 After a series of twists, turns, delays and wildly ambitious claims more akin to a Miss Marple whodunnit, MG has finally built its first TFs at the Longbridge plant in the West Midlands. We've seen the first TF LE500 models at Longbridge and we hear they will be in dealers soon, priced at around £16,000. What's changed since the last 2005 cars? These early pre-prototypes look virtually unchanged, but now come with a body-coloured hard-top, leather seats, air-con and improved interior plastics as standard. The cars pictured here have the new standard-fit glass rear screen, wind deflector, 16in alloys in shadow chrome or satin-black finish and the new piano black interior trim and revised dials.
BMW Z4 sDrive 35is (2009) at Detroit motor show 2010
Mon, 14 Dec 2009These are the first official pictures of the new high-performance BMW Z4 sDrive 35is, unveiled today at the Detroit motor show. A bit of a mouthful (that's BMW's new nomenclature for you), but it's essentially the fastest, hardest Z4 to date since the recently departed M roadster curled over and died. The Z4 sDrive 35is uses Munich's existing 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six, tweaked to produce 335bhp and 332lb ft of the twisty stuff all the way from 1400-4500rpm. That's one flat torque curve, and a 29bhp jump over the regular sDrive35i.
