With a new series of Top Gear starting last week – Top Gear does Romania being the main piece – we suddenly remembered that you all love Top Gear as much as we do when we had tens of thousands of you arriving to have a look at the piece we did earlier this year when the boys were actually in Romania. 2012 Hyundai Veloster stickers at $18,060
Wed, 24 Aug 2011Hyundai has set the base price of the 2012 Veloster with six-speed manual transmission at $18,060, including destination. The three-door Veloster will also be available with six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission for $19,310. Hyundai says it means for the front-wheel-drive car to appeal to the same group of buyers as the Mini Cooper, the Volkswagen Beetle and the Scion tC.
Study links low-speed collision-avoidance system to fewer accidents
Tue, 19 Jul 2011A study of the Volvo XC60's low accident rate offers evidence that collision avoidance systems can improve vehicle safety. The XC60, which has a low-speed collision avoidance system dubbed City Safety, was involved in 27 percent fewer property damage accidents than other mid-sized luxury SUVs, according to a report released Tuesday by the Highway Loss Data Institute. The XC60 also was involved in 51 percent fewer bodily injury accidents.
