Evinrude and Johnson 40 48 and 50 HP outboards shared many of the same parts in this era. High wear items like bearings, seals, clutch plates, brake pads are not guaranteed to be good. If I see a leak or can tell a part is bad it will be noted, but there may be a time that a part doesn't show any signs of a hard rubber seal, gritty bearing or thin clutch plates. Record-setting Ferrari hydroplane heads for RM's Monaco auction
Fri, 17 Feb 2012A record-setting Ferrari-powered 1953 hydroplane, ARNO XI, will cross the block in May at the RM Auctions event in Monaco. The hydroplane set the speed record for a boat of its size on Lake Iseo in northern Italy, running up to 150.19 mph. Designed and built by Achille Castoldi—a friend of Ferrari Grand Prix drivers Alberto Ascari and Luigi Villoresi—convinced Enzo Ferrari to provide knowledge and technical assistance to help develop the world-record-holding boat.

Thu, 04 Apr 2013We have the first official photos of the BMW X4 SUV – the ‘Lifestyle’ version of the X3 – which we expect to debut at the Shanghai Motor Show this month. We have the first leaked images of the X4 that show a BMW X3 with the same sort of treatment as the X5 got to turn it in to the X6, and create what BMW like to call an SAC – a Sports Activity Coupe. Apart from the changes to the body – and less room in the back – you can expect the X4 to offer much the same under the skin as the X3 – albeit at a premium price – which will mean – for the UK at least – will mean everything from an X4 xDrive 18d SE through to an X4 xDrive 35d M Sport.
