Study finds teens model driving habits after parents
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Teen driving habits are heavily influenced by those of their parents, according to a recent study by Toyota and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. Good or bad, teens are likely to model their level of distraction and attention to safety after their parents, according to the national study that surveyed teen drivers ages 16 to 18 and parents of teen drivers. In general, parents who engage in distracting behaviors more frequently have teens who engage in distracting behaviors, according to the study.
McLaren celebrates 20th anniversary of the legendary McLaren F1
Wed, 26 May 2010McLaren Automotive celebrated the 20th anniversary of the start of the F1 program by inviting F1 owners past and present to a celebration dinner at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England. The owners were treated to a display of 21 McLaren F1 road and race cars, the largest number of F1 cars ever assembled in one place. It all started in 1988, when McLaren made the decision to expand from Formula One and design and build what it called "the finest sports car the world had ever seen." In March 1990, the team created to build that car came together for the first time.

Numbers alone don’t quite describe the genius the Brazilian driver showed at the wheel of all manner of cars throughout his career, finding time and speed where others simply couldn’t. So, on the 20th anniversary of Senna’s death in a tragic accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola – only a day after Roland Ratzenberger, a young Austrian driver and friend of Senna, also sadly lost his life, while qualifying – we’re celebrating the life of one of Formula One’s most charismatic drivers.
