Item: 1999 MERCRUISER 4.3L VORTEC COMPLETE DROP-IN RUNNING I/O MOTOR.  Removed from the 1999 Tahoe bowrider pictured.  Our research shows that it fits at least 1996-2007 4.3L Vortec appliction...may fit additional models and years but you'd have to get it verified with your mechanic before purchasing.  This engine is in excellent physical condition as you can see in the pictures and was removed from the low-hour Tahoe because all the vinyl and interior is ruined and the deck had soft spots developing.  Engine has excellent compression on all 6 cylinders and it cranks and runs great.  It is ready to install on your boat and run.  Comes dressed with the fueling system, electrical system & 1-piece exhaust manifolds as pictured.  We also have the rest of the parts we removed from this boat such as outdrive, transom assembly and hydraulic pump.  This engine WILL NOT be shipped...we ask that you pick them up locally at which time we will run & demonstrate to you that they are good, running motors.  Once they leave our facility there are no returns since we cannot be with you to see that you oil the motors correct, don't mistreat them, etc.

Audi to build cars in Mexico

Volkswagen Group has settled on Mexico as the location for a factory for Audi. The Audi supervisory board decided in favor of Mexico over a site next to VW's factory in Chattanooga, Tenn., which opened last year to build the VW Passat. The Mexico plant will provide a boost to the VW Group’s sales prospects and manufacturing operations in North America, where its light vehicle output rose 25 percent in 2011 to a record 542,363 units.

BMW and Toyota announce diesel-engine, green-technology tie-up

BMW and Toyota Motor Corp. said they will work together on green car technologies including the joint development of lithium-ion batteries. BMW will also supply diesel engines to Toyota in Europe as part of the tie-up.

Chevrolet Volt leads satisfaction survey

The Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid has topped Consumer Reports' latest owner-satisfaction survey after its first year on the market. The magazine said 93 percent of respondents who own a Volt said they would definitely purchase one again, making it the highest-rated car in the annual poll. Two second-place finishers, the V8-powered Dodge Challenger and the Porsche 911, drew the most-favorable grade from 91 percent of buyers.
