Range Rover Evoque starts PR world tour
Fri, 16 Jul 2010Ten Range Rover Evoques are being dispatched around the world to cities such as London, New York, Milan, Madrid and Berlin for 'testing' by Land Rover engineers ahead of the global debut at the Paris motor show in autumn 2010. In reality though, these 10 prototypes will be painted in bright colours to attract future customers. Doesn’t sound like testing to us; maybe testing our eyes...
VW Tiguan – People’s Reviewer Winner
Tue, 22 Sep 2009Harriet Gore gets a VW Tiguan as the winner of the People's Review The last update we did had the three finalists doing different challenges to bid for votes. Johnny was taking the Tiguan off to a sheep farm to play around; Eric was off to Silverstone to have a bash on the track and the skid-pan and Harriet was off on a mystery tour round Oxford (which as we said at the time was no easy thing). Well, the winner’s been announced this morning and it’s Harriet, who wins a nice shiny VW Tiguan for her efforts.
Skoda Fabia vRS to be dropped due to poor sales. Is that a good idea?
Fri, 13 Sep 2013The Skoda Fabia vRS (pictured) is being axed The current version of the Skoda Fabia vRS has been with us since the Geneva Motor Show in 2010, and it’s a cracking little car. It’s the Skoda version of the VW Polo GTI and comes with the same 1.4 litre TSI supercharged with a healthy 178bhp, 7-speed DSG gearbox and performance and economy that satisfies – 0-62mph in 7.1 seconds and 44mpg. But it seems buyers aren’t queueing round the block to drive off in Skoda’s hot little Fabia so it’s going to be dropped.
