Tesla Model S burns in Seattle

A Tesla Model S crashed and burned on Tuesday morning in Seattle. The electric-vehicle manufacturer told Bloomberg that the Model S “collided with a large metallic object in the middle of the road, causing significant damage to the vehicle.” More specifically, the object struck the Tesla's battery. The report worried investors, and Tesla stock fell 6.2 percent on Wednesday.

Goodwood Revival 2011

The middle week of September was a crowded one for the CDN team with coverage of the Frankfurt motor show but we still found time to get our period tweeds out and head down to Sussex to cover the Revival weekend. This historic motor racing festival runs over three days, with Friday set aside for qualifying and practice, and races on Saturday and Sunday, with aggregated times to decide the final winner. Special themes this year included 50 years of the E-Type and this years' Fordwater Trophy grid was composed exclusively of this classic front-engined GT, including Lightweight and Low Drag versions that took on the Ferraris and Cobras of the period.

Millennials are our future, God help us all, and automakers are still trying to figure out to get this supposedly car-averse demographic to part with its money. Of course, the real reason many Millennials aren't buying cars is because they don't have much money to part with. And, in that respect, they're in the same shoes as consumers in developing markets.
