U.S. will guarantee GM, Chrysler warranties, Obama says
Mon, 30 Mar 2009In a bid to boost flagging auto sales, the federal government will pay for any warranty repairs on a General Motors or Chrysler vehicle if either company can't because of financial problems or a bankruptcy filing, President Barack Obama said on Monday. "Let me say this as plainly as I can. If you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired just like always," Obama said in a speech.
Flood-damaged car 'bought' by 12-year-old
Fri, 21 Mar 2014A SUBMERGED CAR that was abandoned because of flooding on the Somerset Levels and put on eBay has sold for more than £100,000. The unnamed bidder paid £101,100 on the online auction site to buy the Seat Toledo after it was put up for sale by owner Hubert Zajaczkowski, 21. Mr Zajaczkowski planned to donate the cash to a charity helping the victims of flooding in Somerset.
