2014 Porsche Boxster and Cayman GTS revealed

Not content with its stunning Boxster S and Cayman S models, Porsche has released official details of its new range-topping mid-engined duo for 2014: the Porsche Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS. Both cars get more power from their flat-six engines and even more equipment to set them apart from the rest of the range, as well as that famous ‘GTS’ boot badge. Is this Aventador with Veyron wheels the Lamborghini Urus in the making? What is the Lamborghini Urus, you may ask? Regular readers will know that back at the time when we were hearing that the replacement for the Murcielago would probably be called the Jota (yes, we got the name wrong but all the other details were right) a contact at Lamborghini told us they were working on a super Aventador (as it is now called) aimed at taking out the new Enzo when that arrives (the Ferrari F70).

Porsche plans four-door Panamera convertible

A series of European and U.S. patent applications obtained by AutoWeek show that Porsche remains committed to building a four-door convertible version of its flagship Panamera, despite recent comments from Zuffenhausen insiders indicating the car had been canceled. The new car, depicted in official drawings that accompany the latest Porsche patent applications filed in February, eschews the two-door route taken by all of its upmarket rivals for a four-door body.
