XCar takes a ride around London street circuit
Wed, 26 Jun 2013One year ago, in the run up to the Formula One British Grand Prix, Spanish bank Santander unveiled a video concept for a London street circuit that they suggested could host the race. The GP currently takes place at Silverstone Circuit. F1 head honcho Bernie Ecclestone said he loves the idea of holding it on the streets of the swinging city.
McLaren P1 concept
Tue, 18 Sep 2012The McLaren P1 concept – the company's flagship hypercar model – will make its world debut at the Paris motor show next week ahead of the production model some time next year. These first images reveal an exterior that's more expressive in its surfacing and graphics than the existing MP4-12C, with a particular motif made of McLaren's 'tick' logo through the DRG. Its bodywork also appears to be layered over the underlying carbon structure that appears around the nose, rear and door panel, which hint at the diagonal bar that ran through the F1's doors, although here it dives downwards rather than creating a wedge.
Ford begins Daventry site transformation
Mon, 12 May 2014FORD IS to invest millions of pounds in a new, state-of-the-art training facility on its existing site in Daventry, Northamptonshire, as part of a wider forward-looking programme. The new site will merge the capabilities of two existing Ford colleges – the Technical Training Centre located separately at Daventry, and the Henry Ford College in Loughborough, which provides training for technicians, sales staff and management throughout Ford’s national dealer network. Scheduled to open next year, the brand-new centre will replace the existing facilities to become a centre of excellence for training across the country.
