This kit is offered with wiring and fuses specific to your C5 Corvette, a $25.00 value for free! No other vendors offer this with their kits.

Brand new curb alert mini front bumper protection for all C5 Corvettes. Front end damage when parking is a very real problem for your Corvette, especially Corvettes owners who have installed ground effects.

The Curb Alert is very easy to install and does not put a drain on your battery when the car is not on. Using a patented infrared technology, the front mounted sensor is calibrated to a warning distance of anywhere from 8-28" (you decide with whatever you feel comfortable with). The warning alarm is hidden in the car and will give you three gentle tones when you are within a specified distance to the curb. The system gives you a short beep every time you start your car to let you know the system is active.

  • Warns with an audible alarm before striking a curb that could damage your front bumper and/or spoiler.
  • Sensor can mount in a discrete manner in the front end of your Corvette and does not require any drilling.
  • Advanced infra-red triangulation technology and specialized software embedded for reliable operation.
  • Warning distance is adjustable from 8-28 inches. (Bumper to curb)
  • Removable when necessary with out leaving any holes as evidence.

    Mercedes-Benz introduces nine-speed automatic gearbox

    Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Mercedes-Benz has quietly slipped a new nine-speed automatic into its lineup as standard equipment on the European market E350 BlueTec. The new in-house produced unit, known internally under the name 9G-Tronic, has long been slated for selected Mercedes-Benz models. However, its existence was officially denied until the weekend, when Mercedes-Benz's German language website configurator went live with various updates for the E-class lineup -- including an entry signaling the 9G-Tronic is now available on the standard rear-wheel drive E350 BlueTec in place of the older seven-speed.

Abarth Fiat 500 Convertible confirmed. Punto Abarth coming?

    Mon, 12 Oct 2009

It looks like plans for an Abarth version of the 500C for 2010 are confrmed But a successful model is always going to spawn whatever variants a car maker can viably muster, so our report in July that we will see an Abarth version of the 500C in Spring 2010 – probably at the Geneva Motor Show – now seem to have been confirmed as ‘jokeforblog’ has published pictures of what seems to be a road-ready Abarth Convertible at Abarth’s facility. Now that will be a bunch of fun – and just in time for next Summer. Spy shot of the Abarth 500 Cabriolet It also now seems likely that Fiat are pushing ahead with a new Abarth version of the Punto.

    'Ambulance chasers' face new controls

    Mon, 09 Jun 2014

THE CULTURE of "ambulance-chasing" lawyers and bogus whiplash claims could come to an end following new measures set out by the Government to crack down on insurance fraud. Lawyers will be banned from offering accident victims incentives such as money or free iPad computers to encourage them to make a claim and courts will be given powers to throw out compensation actions where claimants have been dishonest. The reforms by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) aim to tackle the rise of the compensation culture and reduce the amount being paid out unnecessarily by insurance companies - which can lead to higher premiums for honest customers.
