Selling a 1997 Yamaha 250 Salt Water Series II EFI 2 stroke with a 30" shaft. Runs great and came off a 231 Mako. Just checked out at Homosassa Marine and ready to go. Includes mounting bracket that you see in picture. I just repowered; this motor works great.  My brother, who is an avid eBay user, warned me that folks may be put off by my lack of eBay history.  Given that this type of item is large and would require personal interaction, I hope that this will not enter into a buyer's decision.  I am happy to correspond via e-mail or phone to help folks get comfortable with this motor.  My mechanic at the marina where it is being held can provide additional color as to the condition.

BMW wins engine of year

Wed, 09 May 2007

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 09 May 2007 05:51 BMW’s twin turbo 3.0-litre engine – the mighty 306bhp straight six from the 335i - has taken top honours at the 2007 International Engine of the Year Awards, the engineering equivalent of the Oscars. This is an unprecedented third year in a row that BMW has clinched the title of International Engine of the Year Award – in 2006 it was the M6’s V10 that took the title, and the M5’s V10 claimed gold in 2005. Other winners, judged by the panel of 62 motoring journalists from 30 countries across the globe, included Porsche for its biturbo 3.6-litre flat six (unbelievably, the first time Zuffenhausen has won an IEYA award), Toyota for the Prius’ 1.5-litre hybrid unit, and Volkswagen’s TSI twincharger 1.4-litre unit.

The new Peugeot 108 (pictured) revealed ahead of a Geneva debut The new Peugeot 108, revealed this morning ahead of a Geneva Motor Show debut, is Peugeot’s new take on the city car and, certainly at first look, it seems a good effort. We always liked the Peugeot 107 and its ability to look better than its Citroen and Toyota siblings, be nippy and frugal around town and small enough to park almost anywhere. And although the new Peugeot 108 looks more grown-up, it does seem to promise what the 107 delivered but in a more sophisticated package.

BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo (GT) concept unveiled

The BMW 5-Series GT - Due to launch at Frankfurt in September [ad#ad-1] The Germans do love a niche or two. Audi seems to be trying to cover everything from a runaround to a supercar, and Mercedes has gone as far as to build an S-Class people carrier (the R-Class) and a super-luxo-barge (Maybach). But BMW play the game as well – the BMW X6 being a good case in point.
