Cadillac revealed another take on a future large, rear-wheel-drive car during the Pebble Beach weekend—the ultra-cool Elmiraj four-seater coupe. This is Cadillac's second such concept in a couple years, after it showed the Ciel convertible at Pebble in 2011. Yet we hear that the first production car to ride on the so-called Omega platform will be a sedan scheduled to arrive in 2015 as a 2016 model.

The bi-annual Frankfurt motor show is always an exhibition of Germanic industrial might – for better or worse – and 2013 was no exception. Despite news of flat-lining car sales across Europe, the show was one of the defiant rolling out of new models. The number of production cars and production previews of cars that would be appearing in (presumably quiet) showrooms soon was impressive.

We have video of what looks like a new build Pagani Huayra, still plastic wrapped, in purple with Italian Tricolour brake calipers. That’s because the Pagani Huayra has not, as far as we can tell, managed to get a European Certificate of Conformity or managed to be Federalised for the US, so sales are impossible. But Pagani are still producing a few cars – although they’ve probably built more Zondas in the last two years than Huayras – but it looks like this Huayra – caught on video outside Pagaini’s premises in Modena – is a new build.
