Public supports 20mph urban speed limits

78% of people think 20mph speed limits should be introduced as the norm in residential areas, around schools and in town centres, according to road safety charity Brake. It comes as the charity introduces its GO 20 campaign, calling on politicians to support changing the default urban speed limit to 20mph. Backlash at increase in 20mph areas predicted On Bing: see pictures of 20mph zones 20mph zones are already widespread in some areas – with Brake claiming these areas have seen significant reductions in crashes.

Jaguar XFR debuts at the Detroit Auto Show boasting 500hp

Until today, Jaguar’s elegant XF didn’t have an R-badged derivative at the top of its range. That all changed at the Detroit Auto Show when the British marque took the wraps off a new 503-hp supercharged version of Jag’s comeback-kid four-door sedan. The same engine is also offered in the new XKR coupe, which also debuted at Detroit.

The Rolls Royce EX200 Concept unveiled ahead of its Geneva debut [ad#ad-1] Well, this was supposed to be embargoed until tomorrow, but if the Daily Telegraph are prepared to jump the gun, I suppose we may as well jump on their coach and run it as well! After more spy shots of the Rolls Royce RR4 than I care to remember, and teaser images and trickles of details, we finally have some concrete information, and some images, to put meat on the bones of the new Baby Rolls Royce. But apparently we shouldn’t call it the ‘Baby’ RR, as Rolls Royce insists that the new car, which will be almost exactly the same as this concept, will be built to the same exacting standards as the flagship Phantom.
