Trucking Company GimmicksTrucking companies have a gimmick that they charge for residential delivery. If you have a shop behind your house, it is considered a residential delivery I have customers tell me "I have trucks deliver all the time" I do not doubt that trucking companies deliver to you all the time, but by the time they add a residential charge, an appointment fee and a redelivery fee, the fees can add to over an extra $150 on top of the quote you were already given!!! Another charge the trucking companies like to charge is a redeliver charge. If the company sends a truck out to do a delivery during regular business hours and you cannot unload it. The company will charge a redelivery fee. The company paid a driver to come to your location and paid for fuel, so the company does not care If you: Went to get a pizza Long story short, if the company has to come back to deliver. The company will add a redelivery fee that You will be responsible for If you are given a shipping quote, I will honor it for 10 days. I however need to repeat myself, You are responsible for redelivery, residential or farm delivery and an appointment fee if the carrier adds thoes extra fees. The fees can add up to an extra $150. Tue, 20 May 2014The Nissan e-NV200 electric van (pictured) – the start of an EV revolution for commercial vehicles? We’ve always been reluctant to see the electric car as a proper replacement for an ICE car, but an electric van for commercial deliveries in a reasonably confined area is a different animal altogether. So the arrival of the Nissan e-NV200 electric van is a big deal and could revolutionise how deliveries are made in our towns and cities, usefully shifting not just CO2, but NoX and particulates off to where the electricity is generated and making much less noise too.
UK car sales reach six-year high

Figures for 2013 show an increase in registrations of 10.8% compared with the previous year, to 2,264,737 - most of which was driven by growth in the private car market. Ford dominated the best-seller list, with the Fiesta and Focus winning 200,000 sales between them The UK market’s performance easily outstripped that of the European Union as a whole, with an increase of 9.9% for the 11 months to November compared with a drop of 2.7% for the EU region.
