Condition:Used Country/Region of Manufacture:Unknown

Here we have the a nice silver colored amplifier.  This was removed from a 1998 Lincoln Navigator (and I would think will work on other Ford/Lincoln SUV's but am not certain exactly which models/years).  It is in good condition with minor, normal wear as you would expect from a used item.

Shipping will be $10 via the US Postal Service (parcel post) and my preferred payment method is Pay-Pal.  I normally ship within 1-2 days after payment has been received and I will add the USPS tracking # to the auction details when I have that available.  I would prefer my sales to be to the lower 48 states however I will consider shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other locations, I just ask the potential buyer to email me first with a shipping estimate as it may be higher.

Although I know what vehicle this was removed from, it may fit other years of the same model (or similar models from the same Company) but I'm not certain so please make sure this is the correct part you are looking for as I won't be responsible if you buy it and then discover it isn't what you needed.  Please look at ALL the pictures to be sure you want the correct part!

Although it is a used item and I generally don't have a way to test any electrical item, I will offer a 30 day refund (purchase price + initial shipping charge) if the part is defective and the buyer sends the item back to me at their expense and it arrives safely back to me.  This does not apply if I receive a item back that is different than the one I sent (I mark most of my items) or if I can tell that the item I receive back is my original item but it shows evidence that it has been tampered with (wear marks on the screws/bolts, pry marks on plastic edges, etc.).  If I think the item is defective to begin with I won't even list it as I don't want to disappoint any buyer but at the same time, I don't want to be taken advantage of and have someone else send me their bad item and keep my good item that I sold to them so that is why I have this policy.

Please email with any questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer them before the auction end, thanks.

Vauxhall launches speed limit detectors on Insignia (2008)

Thu, 19 Jun 2008

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 19 June 2008 07:53 Vauxhall's new Insignia will be the first of a wave of cars to have a forward-facing camera that can read road signs. The optional kit will detect speed limit and no overtaking signs – and flash up a reminder to the driver on the dashboard.GM calls the tech, which will be launched in early 2009, Traffic Sign Recognition and it uses a small, wide-angled camera system supplied by Hella. It sits at the top of the windscreen near the rain sensors and rear-view mirror, scanning the road ahead taking 30 photos per second. It's 1984 all over again...With a range of 100 metres, the camera focuses on circular patterns and then interprets the numbers inside by contour comparison; if a match is found on the software's database, that road sign will be flashed up in the driver's binnacle. The front-facing camera is also used as a lane departure warning system, alerting the driver if they unintentionally swerve out of their lane on a motorway.Cars with cameras: a growing trendMore and more manufacturers are fitting cameras to their cars nowadays and you can expect a flood of systems like the Insignia's to be launched in 2009, including the new BMW 5-series.CAR tried out these new systems on Bosch prototypes in 2007.

Lewis Hamilton charged by the Australian ‘elf ‘n’ safety Police

Sun, 23 May 2010

Lewis Hamilton gets nicked - for acting like a racing driver There are times when our Antipodean cousins would love to deny that they are of the same stock as we. But the ‘Nanny-State’ culture that has enveloped Australia in the last decade mirrors our own. There seem to be rules covering every aspect of life, from what to do with your rubbish to how to cross the road.

Audi Urban Concept again, this time with photos and detail

Mon, 12 Sep 2011

Audi Urban Concept EV- just a posh toy car It looks like we may have to dub the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show the EV Go-Kart show, such is the proliferation of fun – if ultimately rather pointless – electric go-karts. And today, just ahead of its debut, we get real photos and decent detail on the Audi Urban Concept EV. We’ve had the teasers for the Audi Urban Concept and a set of CGI images a few weeks ago, but now we get photos of the real car (is car the right word?) and some detail about its powertrain and abilities.
