Our focus is, and will always be vintage items of the highest quality. All of our items are salvaged and are for the most part American made. One week we could be in an old school, the next week a factory, and the following week a Shipyard or Power Plant. One day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next Signs and Vintage blueprints, and the following day we clean out the Machine shop and parts crib. Parents 'taxi drivers' for their children
Tue, 03 Jun 2014PARENTS spend around six months of their lives playing taxi driver for their children, a poll has found. A new survey claims that the average mum and dad clocks up around 30 miles a week ferrying their youngster to school, to clubs and to see friends, spending around three-and-a-half hours in the car. It means that the average parent racks up around 26,741 miles driving their child around between the ages of three and 20, and spends around 3,147 hours behind the wheel, according to Goodyear, which commissioned the poll.
'Crash for cash' scams soar by 51%
Wed, 18 Jun 2014THE NUMBER of "crash for cash" car insurance scams uncovered by a major insurer surged by 51% annually last year. Aviva said it had detected around 820 staged accidents in 2013, leading to some 2,200 fraudulent personal injury claims. It is pressing for tougher penalties and said that often, rather than being locked up, fraudsters end up being sentenced to community orders, which "do little" to deter them from re-offending.
