But at the same time, the tiny diodes are claimed to be able to light the road ahead for an incredible 500 metres. The lightweight two-seater is powered by Vauxhall’s turbo 2.0-litre unit – lifted from the Astra VXR – and it’s priced at £29,495. Err, yes – we also feel the SC250’s looks might be a bit of a stumbling block to someone about to flash the best part of £30k on a track-based racer.

Spyker in negotiations to sell its sports-car business to focus on Saab

Spyker Cars said Thursday it is negotiating to sell its sports car business to a company controlled by Russian billionaire Vladimir Antonov. Spyker, which bought Saab from General Motors Co. a year ago, said it has signed a memorandum of understanding to sell Spyker's assets to U.K.
