Corvette and Silverado win North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Chevrolet kicked off the first press day of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show by taking home awards for the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year. The Bowtie brand swept both awards with the new 2014 Corvette Stingray and the Chevrolet Silverado. Last week we revealed that BMW and Toyota were discussing swapping engines and hybrid technology in an effort to cut costs and improve products. A much more grown-up crossover than Nissan’s original trailblazing original, it conspires to offer more of everything and with more than a hint of the new Nissan X-Trail. A bit bigger all-round than the first Qashqia, the new Qashqai looks sportier than before with its slightly lower stance and a reworked front with the new Nissan grill, wraparound headlights and clamshell bonnet whilst the back end gets a rework and some new boomerang lights.
