Fireworks man cleared over M5 crash
Tue, 10 Dec 2013A FIREWORKS CONTRACTOR in charge of a display held on the night of a massive motorway crash in which seven people died and 51 were injured has been cleared of breaching health and safety laws. A judge directed a jury at Bristol Crown Court to find Geoffrey Counsell, 51, not guilty of a single charge of failing to ensure the safety of others contrary to the Health and Safety at Work Act. The charge alleged that Mr Counsell, of Ashill in Somerset, failed to ensure he operated the firework display so as to ensure, as far as was reasonably practicable, that others who might be affected were not exposed to risks to their health and safety.
Lexus LF-Ch – the front
Mon, 07 Sep 2009Front view of the Lexus LF-Ch (click image for bigger photo) The LF-Ch is a big deal for Lexus. They do make a very good car, but almost all are fairly uninspiring. The sporty ISs is a fairly good drive, and the IS Convertible is a decent alternative for a 4 seat drop-top as long as you don’t want to thrash the car to the edge of its limits.
Singapore Grand Prix (2014) RESULT
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Singapore Grand Prix (2014) RESULT Qualifying for today’s Singapore Grand Prix was a close fought affair, with not much more than half a second separating the top nine, and just seven thousands of a second splitting pole and second. So will Mercedes be able to pull-off another one-two win at Sepang? Actually, no, they couldn’t, but that’s because Nico Rosberg had electrical problems before the start and had to join the race from the pit lane, and ended up retiring as the electrical gremlins proved terminal.
