Hello and Welcome!

Up for sale: A new and recently primed 1999 - 2004 H.O. Fibertrends "2000 Cobra R" Hood

Description of the hood from their website:

"Ford built 350 Cobra Rs for the year 2000, for sale to the general public. But most ended up in race car drivers hands and Ford asked us to make the same hood used on all the Cobra Rs to use in their Ford Racing catalog.

You too can now get the 2000 Cobra R hood for your 1999-2004 Mustang from H.O. Fibertrends.

Only 24 lbs. the Cobra Rs hood is 2 ¾ inches taller than the stock 1999-2004 Mustang. Made wider where the throttle body enters the intake to give under hood clearance for the Cobras intake and other aftermarket modifications. Extra under hood clearance in the front of the engine compartment helping with under hood clearance for superchargers pulleys.

Made from high quality hand laid fiberglass. Our hoods are made with a tough white gel-coat surface, that resists fiber strand print through. We only use the very highest quality surface coats, better than the general purpose gel-coats that’s used by most of our competitors.

Our Fiberglass hoods are engineered for strength and reliability.

Instead of the cheap inserts placed into the fiberglass, which can be ripped out the hinge and latch. areas.

H.O. Fibertrends takes the time to laminate blocks of aircraft quality aluminum into the fiberglass under structure. The hinge areas come predrilled and threaded. The latch is all metal just like your factory hood. So when the hood arrives its ready to be installed.

This hood comes with high quality new Sims bolts for your hinges to help make your installation quick and easy.

After our hoods come out of their molds, we remove the flashing and finish the edges for you. Filling the gapes left by bonding the top and bottom structures together, Most of the hoods you buy from our competitors rely on you or your body shop to make those repairs before painting the hood.

Pulling all this together. The hoods made by H.O. Fibertrends give you the best value in a quality well fitting body part."

The hood can be picked up in Manchester, Connecticut 06040.

Warning over minicab 'free-for-all'

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

RAPE AND sex assaults could rise due to plans to allow minicab owners to lend their vehicles out to anyone when not at work, police bosses have warned. A cross-party group of Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) across England and Wales said planned deregulation will lead to a "free-for-all". Currently, only licensed private hire drivers can drive a marked private hire vehicle, drivers have to be regularly re-licensed and there are restrictions on vehicles operating across local authority boundaries.

Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Land Rover is entering a new hybrid era with two new part-electric models: the Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid. Both cars use an identical diesel-electric drivetrain, post identical economy and CO2 claims, and should offer comparable performance to their V8 sisters. Too good to be true?
