2015 VW Jetta makes global debut at New York auto show

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is making its global debut at the New York auto show, and the changes for the new model year -- while not exactly breathtaking -- should help VW's volume-seller keep up with the competition. Chrysler investigated after collapse of Getrag deal

The state of Indiana is investigating Chrysler LLC for securities fraud over the collapse of a joint venture with Getrag Transmission LLC. Jim Gavin, a spokesman for Secretary of State Todd Rokita, today confirmed a Kokomo Tribune report that said the investigation began two weeks ago. "There have been no complaints or allegations made," the paper quoted Rokita saying in a speech Tuesday.

Jeep pickup at least 4 years away, CEO says

Jeep CEO Michael Manley says a pickup truck remains a high priority but a Wrangler-based hauler is at least four years away. "It is too late in Wrangler's product cycle to add a pickup. The 2015 or 2016 time frame makes more sense," Manley said during an interview at the Frankfurt auto show.
