Volkswagen Golf24 (2011): VW's new 'Ring racer

This flame-spitting beast is the Volkswagen Golf24, VW’s new Nurburgring 24hr racer. The Golf24 will race at the ‘Green Hell’ in the legendary endurance event on 25-26 June 2011, but although it’s been built as part of Volkswagen’s celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the GTI, it shares little with the hot hatch that we know and love. Jaguar D-Type 60th Anniversary race at Goodwood Revival

Up to 30 Jaguar D-Types will race at the 2014 Goodwood Revival The Jaguar E-Type os perhaps the most loved classic Jaguar, but the D-Type is the most iconic. This year is the 60th anniversary of the D-Type, so the Goodwood Revival – that wonderful world of all things classic car – will be celebrating the D-Type’s anniversary this September with a race where up to 30 D-Types are expected to compete. D-Types from around the world will congregate in Sussex for the Lavant Cup on the Saturday of the Revival, with plenty of regular D-Types, the later long-nose variant and even the experimental E2A one-off prototype that acted as a bridge between the D-Type and E-Type taking part.

Infiniti G37 to sell alongside its Q50 replacement until 2015 model year

Infiniti has announced that the G37 sedan, which has been with us for a while, will continue alongside the all-new Q50 sedan until the 2015 model year. The 2014 Q50, ostensibly the G37's replacement, will go on sale later this week, though to keep things rolling along, Infiniti will be slashing prices on the two versions of the G37 which will continue on: the G37 Journey and the G37 Sedan AWD. The rear-wheel drive Infiniti G37 will now start at $33,455, down from $38,225, and the all-wheel drive G37 will now start at $35,055.
