Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra EVAP System Retrofit Kit Have a difficulty putting gas in your 1999-2011 GM fullsize pickup? Check engine light showing codes PO442, PO446, PO449, or PO455? There's a good chance you are experiencing the result of a dirty or plugged EVAP canister and solenoid. GM has issued a service bulletin involving 1999-2011 fullsize pickups regarding these very issues. The vent solenoid vents under the vehicle from the factory, allowing dirty air to enter the canister and solenoid through the factory vent location. GM's solution is to change the canister and solenoid, as well as install the supplied solenoid filter up under the hood where there is much less dirt, dust, and debris. This kit includes a new EVAP vent canister, new EVAP solenoid, and a remote mount filter for the emissions system, as well as enough hose to run from the vent solenoid under the vehicle to the new filter up under the hood! Also included is a solenoid pigtail that may be required on some older trucks to use this new design. Once the retrofit kit has been installed, have the trouble codes (DTCs) cleared from the computer and be on your way. This kit can be installed in an hour or less with basic hand tools. Infiniti releases first look at JX crossover
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Infiniti on Thursday released a first look at the JX seven-passenger crossover it plans to build at the Nissan assembly plant in Smyrna, Tenn. A concept of the JX will be shown publicly during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August, and the production version is scheduled to debut at the Los Angeles auto show in November. The Infiniti JX is set to go on sale in spring 2012 as a 2013 model.
More than 5,000 fines issued for lane hogging and tailgating
