Ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show we have the first official photos of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf arrive. The new VW Golf – the MK 7 – was revealed today in Berlin and we’ve got the first official photos ahead of VW’s official release. Looking more sophisticated than the current Golf, the new Golf is underpinned by VW’s MQB Platform – which also underpins the new Audi A3 and SEAT Leon – and comes in at up to 100kg less than the current Golf.

Honda Civic Wagon estate concept to debut at Geneva

Honda has released the first image of its Civic Wagon estate car ahead of its unveiling at next month's Geneva motor show. From what the sketch shows us, we can see a prominent crease hanging over the rear wheelarches along with a sloping roofline with integrated rear spoiler. At the rear we also get a glimpse the lamp arrangement, which runs the width of the car.

Maserati looking at LaFerrari for MC12 successor

Maserati is looking into building a successor to the MC12 Stradale supercar based on the Ferrari LaFerrari, according to a report from Autocar. Maserati boss Harald Wester didn't confirm it to the British magazine, but admitted there is an opportunity. The new car would use the chassis and suspension components from the LaFerrari, but not its electric motor and KERS system.
