Exhibition: Taxis of the World

The 'Taxis du Monde' exhibit recently held at the Paris Motor Show displayed a total of 40 taxis from 20 cities around the world, illustrating the evolution and diverse needs of the past, the present and even the future. Renault’s Type AG from 1913 is one historical example. One of the first Parisian taxis, it became known as the “Taxi of the Marne” after 1300 examples transported 6000 men to head off the German army in the first world war.

Audi A8 facelift revealed ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show 2013

Audi is pulling weight out of its A8 limousine and sticking in more power in an effort to stem the expected upsurge from Mercedes-Benz’s all-new S-Class, also being unveiled for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The all-wheel drive Audi, which is the top-of-the-range Audi limo, may only change a little visually but delivers big upgrades in its driver assistance systems, as well as tightening its fuel consumption by up to 10%. Subaru Levorg concept teased ahead of Tokyo debut

The Subaru Levorg Concept Touring (pictured) will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show Today it’s the turn of another Japanese car maker to start showing what they’ll be taking to their home motor show in Tokyo next month, with Subaru teasing the Subaru Levorg concept. The Levorg concept – it’s name is made up from Legacy, Revolution and Touring – is said by Subaru to be a Tourer but with the feel of a sports car, whatever that means. Under the bonnet lurks a 1.6 litre Boxer engine with direct injection turbo tech which, say Subaru, offers smooth performance and green credentials.
